Jara Reyes returns to Forest

Nottingham Forest have signed Chilean international Gonzalo Jara Reyes on a one year deal.

The 27 year old had a loan spell at the City Ground towards the end of last season, and impressed enough to secure a permanent deal following his release from West Bromwich Albion.

Jara Reyes move to the Hawthorns from Chilean side Colo Colo in 2009, and helped the Baggies secure promotion to the Premier League in his first season in English football.

He went on to make thirty top fight appearances for the club, before being loaned to Brighton and Hove Albion twice during the 2011/12 campaign.

Having made just one appearance for West Brom last season, he moved to Forest in January, where he made seventeen appearances before being sent back to his parent club …

West Brom confirm Popov loan return

West Brom have confirmed the return of Macedonian defender Goran Popov on a season-long loan.

The Dynamo Kiev player spent last season on loan at The Hawthorns, making 13 appearances in total as Steve Clarke s side finished eighth in the Premier League.

Popov joins Nicolas Anelka in arriving at the club this close-season and Clarke said he had always been interested in re-signing the 28-year-old.

It was always our intention to get Goran back over the summer, Clarke told the club s official website.

West Brom have completed the signing of Southampton striker Jay Rodriguez for an estimated £15million.

Rodriguez is West Brom s first addition ahead of the 2017-18 season and has signed a four-year deal at The Hawthorns.

Chelsea manager Antonio Conte could have quit football after being embroiled in a match-fixing scandal in his native Italy.

An accusation of failing to report an attempt to fix a match against AlbinoLeffe during his time in charge of second-tier side Siena in 2010-11 landed the former Italy coach in court as part of the Scommessopoli case.
